The TCU women's basketball time had no problem on Sunday afternoon taking care of Rice. The Frogs easily handled the Owls 67-42 to start the season 3-0. Sedona Prince and Madison Conner both contributed to the win with each recording a double-double.

The Frogs are 3-0 for the first time in four years. First-year head coach Mark Campbell became only the second coach in program history to win his first three games as the TCU coach and the first since Mike Petersen in 1996-97.

Conner, a junior transfer from Arizona, and Prince, a transfer from Oregon, contributed to more than half of TCU's points. Conner had 19 points, 11 points, two assists, and one steal. It was her second double-double in three games. Prince had 18 points, 14 rebounds, one assist, and one steal. It was her third double-double of the season. Prince is the first Horned Frog since Amy Okonkwo in 2019 to generate a double-double in three consecutive outings.

TCU has produced a Big 12-leading six double-doubles seven days into the season and is the only team to have multiple players finish with a double-double in each of its games.

It was among the best defensive performances TCU has pitched in recent memory. TCU held Rice, winners of 23 games in 2022-23, to a paltry 25.4Horned Frogs finished with a 48-34 edge on the glass.
