Big 12 Football Week 11 Kickoff Times: So We Wait

The Big 12 and its media partners will wait until after this weekend's pivotal games before announcing most kickoff times for Week 11.

Big 12 Football Week 11 Kickoff Times: So We Wait

So we wait. The Big 12 and its media partners usually announce the kickoff times two weeks out. Not this week. Of the seven games on the slate for Week 11 (November 11), only one time was announced on Monday. Iowa State will play at BYU in the 9:15 p.m. time slot.

All other games were designated as "Six Day Selection" games, meaning the kickoff times will not be announced until six days prior or next Sunday. Why the delay? It seems the league and its media partners want to wait and see what happens in a critical slate of games this weekend.

The Big 12 currently has five teams at the top of its standing, all at 4-1 in conference play - Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas. That log jam will be broken up, somewhat, after the games this week, as there are some massive games with lots at stake.

No. 7 Texas will host No. 25 Kansas State at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4. Then, in the afternoon game, Oklahoma State hosts No. 10 Oklahoma in the last edition of the Bedlam series, at least for the foreseeable future. The nightcap features another pivotal game with No. 22 Kansas at Iowa State.

On Saturday, November 11, all 14 teams in the conference will be in action, which has not occurred since Week 4 (September 23).

Week 11 Big 12 Games

  • Iowa State (5-3, 4-1) at BYU (5-3, 2-3) - 9:15 p.m CT, ESPN
  • West Virginia (5-3, 3-2) at #10 Oklahoma (7-1, 4-1)
  • #7 Texas (7-1, 4-1) at TCU (4-4, 2-2)
  • Baylor (3-5, 2-3) at #25 Kansas State (6-2, 4-1)
  • Cincinnati (2-6, 0-5) at Houston (3-5, 1-4)
  • Oklahoma State (6-2, 4-1) at UCF (3-5, 0-5)
  • Texas Tech (3-5, 2-3) at #22 Kansas (6-2, 3-2)

Sit back and enjoy the Week 10 games. Those outcomes will determine what happens in Week 11!
