Last Friday, No. 2 TCU reminded the collegiate equestrian world why they are one of the preeminent teams in the nation, beating No. 9 UC Davis, by a score of 15-5, at Bear Creek.

TCU dominated early, winning 5-0 in Horsemanship.  Jessica McAllister earned TCU's first point and an MOP in the event, with a 76.5 on Jake.  Mattie Dukes rode Gomer for a 76, and Payton Boutelle, riding Tony, earned a 72.5.  Giorgia Medows, riding George, posted a 75, and Shea Graham rode Bob for a 76.5.

Due to inclement weather, the meet was halted for about an hour before the teams reconvened to compete in Flat.  Here, too, the Frogs were dominant, with an 8-2 victory.  Spectacular performances included Ashleigh Scully's, a 74 on Mac and TCU's first point.  Sydnie Young followed suit, with a 79 on Casper. Finally, Laurel Smith nabbed the MOP with an 82 on Lui.

The Horned Frogs then won Fences -- the MOP going to Ashleigh Scully, with an 84 on Van.   Sydney Berube earned TCU's first point, with an 84 on Phia.  Riding Callisto, Jordyn Scelsa posted an impressive 85, and the last point for TCU was secured by Isabella Baxter, who rode Java for an 82.

The last competition of the event was Reining, and here too the Frogs proved victorious.  Lannie-Jo Lisac posted the first point for TCU, with an 69.5 on Bob.  On Snoop Dog (amazingly named!) Dukes earned a point and an MOP, with a score of 71.  McAllister also vanquished her opponent, dialing in a score of 70.5 on Roxie.

Up Next: the Horned Frogs will return to action on January 26 when they take on South Dakota State at John Justin Arena in Fort Worth.
