LOOK: Trey Smith Dons Epic T-Shirt At Championship Parade

In this story:
Offensive lineman Trey Smith's difficult journey has cultivated in a Super Bowl ring. He was the No. 1 high school prospect, dealt with life-threatening blood clots in college, and is now a world champion.
Kansas City took Smith with the No. 226 pick, one of the last picks in the draft. He blossomed into a starting guard for the best offensive team in football and has spent the past few years protecting superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes II.
Despite prolific offensive outputs, the Chiefs' offensive line took flack during the postseason, and some thought it could be the reason for losing in the Super Bowl. However, Kansas City's front five showed up, allowing zero sacks and only allowing Mahomes to get knocked down once.
The offensive line proved to be the difference in the winning effort; Mahomes had a slow first half outside of a few drives, but the offensive line allowed him time to figure things out in the second half. Mahomes took home Super Bowl MVP honors after throwing for three touchdowns and going on the eventual game-winning drive.
Smith donned a "0 sacks" shirt at the championship parade, celebrating the accomplishment while getting a last laugh over the critics. While the Chiefs didn't have all-world talent at the receiver or running back spot, they didn't need it with the performance they got up front.

He wasn't the only Chiefs offensive lineman to wear the shirt. Pro Bowl center Creed Humphrey donned the apparel along with Smith, making national headlines along with several other teammates.
