Texas Athletics Makes Major Ticketing Announcement Before 2026 Season

The major buzz and hype surrounding the Texas Longhorns program heading into the 2026 season is 100 percent real as the Longhorns head into the 2026 season with major expectations from both Texas fans and college football analysts alike.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian has crafted an elite roster that has many around college football deeming the Texas roster as one of the best, not just in the SEC but potentially one of the best rosters in the nation.

And the noise, expectations, and excitement that follow the Longhorns, from many Texas fans, have combined words and feelings into actions as Texas Athletics makes a big-time announcement on Tuesday afternoon.

Texas Athletics Sells Out Football Tickets Before the Season

In the midst of Sarkisian's team piecing together the final preparations before the season opener against the Texas State Bobcats, a major announcement highlighted the noise and expectations of the Texas program headed into 2026.

On Tuesday, Texas Football announced that it has sold out season tickets and individual game tickets for all home games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, sold through Texas Athletics for the 2026 season.

Texas Athletics selling out of tickets before the season even starts is not a new occurrence during the Sarkisian era on the Forty Acres, showcasing the momentum of the Texas program entering his sixth season in Austin.

The sellout for the 2026 season marks the fifth consecutive season that Texas fans have sold out DKR before the first kickoff of the season. Chiming in on the sellout was Texas' Athletic Director, Chris Del Conte, who praised Texas fans for their support and excitement for the season.

"Longhorn Nation continues to set the standard," Del Conte said. "Selling out our home schedule before the season begins speaks to the unmatched passion of our fans and the special atmosphere they create every time the Horns take the field. There's nothing like a football Saturday in Austin, and we can't wait to welcome more than 100,000 of our closest friends and family back to DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium."

The Longhorns 2026 schedule gives Texas fans seven games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The season starts with three straight home non-conference games: hosting Texas State, a big-time clash against the Ohio State Buckeyes, which is certain to get Texas fans excited, and the UTSA Roadrunners.

Texas will bring in the Florida Gators for its first SEC game at home of the season, a team that got the best of the Longhorns in 2025, followed by a College Football Playoff semifinalist from a season ago in the Ole Miss Rebels.

The final two home games of the year see the Longhorns hosting the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who gave Texas a drama-filled battle a year ago in Starkville, and finally concluding the home regular season schedule will be a matchup against storied rival the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Longhorns will have plenty of tough challenges at home as they look to get back to the College Football Playoff, and Sarkisian will have the full support of 100,000 fans in the stands at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium all season long.
