Big 10 Conference Set to Welcome Rival Schools Alongside Bruins

In this story:
The fall of the Pac-12 is coming a lot sooner than many people expected. The Bruins will depart from the Pac-12 at the conclusion of the 2023 season to the Big 10 alongside their rivals, the USC Trojans. However, we learned today that two rival schools will follow their path.
According to College Football senior writer for ESPN, Pete Thamel, the Oregon Ducks, and the Washington Huskies are expected to follow suit and join the Big 10 Conference.
Sources: Big Ten expected to move ahead with formal offer letters for Oregon and Washington. A Big Ten vote is expected to take place later today to formalize their admission, barring any last-minute snags.

This move was expected after hearing from UCLA insider Gavin Carlson earlier this morning that the Big 10 was only interested in Oregon and Washington.
Latest Pac-12 / realignment rumors and reports:
— Gavin Carlson (@GavinCarlson_) August 4, 2023
- Oregon has told the Big-12 "NO"
- Oregon will accept an invite to the Big-10 if asked
- Big-10 only interested in Oregon and Washington (not Stanford and Cal), but waiting on Big-12 to make an official move for the Arizona… pic.twitter.com/1PcasgRfnC
The move by the Bruins and Trojans was already making waves across the sport, and now it shakes things up more with the Ducks and Huskies moving to the Big 10.
The Pac-12 is dead and gone from how we came to know it, and it's no one's fault but their own. Schools want to be valued, and when they see Southern and Midwest schools get notoriety; they feel they deserve that as well.
Times are changing, and it may be too late for the Pac-12 to realize that.
Nonetheless, this move can potentially put West Coast football back on the map, and we cannot wait to see how these four schools, especially UCLA benefit from it.
So long, Pac-12.
