UCLA Football: Deion Sanders Praises ‘Phenomenal’ Chip Kelly, Not Worried About Unknown QB

Kelly receives the ultimate praise from Colorado's head man

The UCLA Bruins head into Week 9, coming off an incredible and statement win over the Stanford Cardinal. Things were clicking on all cylinders for the Bruins against the now 2-5 Cardinal.

However, a new week is upon us, and it gets more challenging for the Bruisn as they will host the most adored team in the country (or hated depending on who you ask), Deion Sanders, and the Colorado Buffaloes.

It's homecoming week for the Bruins, and they'll look to grab their sixth win over the Buffaloes. It will be a great opportunity to climb up the rankings and prove they are one of the Pac-12 elites.

The Buffaloes will pose a challenge as they are much improved from a season prior, and Sanders has a lot to do with that. All the attention will be on Colorado, as it has been all seaosn long.

It's Bruins week for them, and in a press conference on Tuesday, Sanders discussed the game plan for UCLA's mystery QB and praised head coach Chip Kelly in the process.

“You prepare for the team, not the individual. With them, you prepare more for their coach. He’s phenomenal, I’m a Chip Kelly fan. I took Shedeur to a camp there and remember having a dialogue with Coach Kelly. I respect the heck out of him.”

Sanders is a class act, and the respect that he has for Kelly is unwavering.

Kelly has been around the block for a long time, and the way he's shaped the college football landscape is bar none.

As for the quarterback situation for the Bruins, it remains ti be seen who will start for them; however, all signs point to junior QB Erthna Garbers being under center once again.

Garbers was solid for the Bruins, throwing for 240 yards, completing 20 of his 28 passes and two touchdowns, while the rest of the team was dominant.

It will be a fun and exciting matchup against the Buffaloes with all eyes set at the Rose Bowl this Saturday.
