UCLA Football: How Latest Bruins Loss Was OSU's Gain In More Ways Than One

In this story:
Saturday was supposed to be another solid game from the UCLA Bruins football program on their quest to shock everyone in the Pac-12. However, fate had other ideas, and the Bruins fell flat against Oregon State on the road.
UCLA lost 36-24, but the play of true freshman Dante Moore really stuck out. He struggled all game against the Oregon State defense and threw three interceptions on the day. It was also the third straight game for Moore in which he allowed a pick-six, which didn't help anything for the Bruins.
“The Beaver defense held UCLA well below their 258.8 passing yard average and limited them to just 169 through the air. A trio of OSU defenders – Akili Arnold, Andrew Chatfield Jr. and Ryan Cooper Jr. – nabbed interceptions off UCLA's Dante Moore”

The win by Oregon State was historic for their program, as they are now the quickest team in program history to become bowl-eligible. Teams need six wins to become eligible in college football, and the Bruins were really hoping not to be the team to allow them their sixth victory.
“With the win, Oregon State secured bowl eligibility with the sixth win of the season and made history by doing so quicker than any other team in program history.”

Now, the Bruins must regroup and refocus. They entered this game with everything in front of them but left with their chances at winning the Pac-12 being in the gutter.
They can still salvage the season but will need to flush this game from their memory. They can watch film and learn from their mistakes but can't harp on it moving forward.
UCLA gets a chance to redeem themselves this coming week when they head to Stanford for their next game. They can't take the Cardinal for granted and will need to put together a complete game to come away with the win.
