In this story:

When the UCLA Bruins football team takes on the Boise State Broncos in the LA Bowl, they will have an interesting host. Former NFL great Rob Gronkowski will be the host of the game being played at Sofi Stadium.

He will be involved with the game from the start to the finish. And Gronkowski will even be giving a live performance of sorts.

"That involvement, he told The Times in October, would include “a live performance by me — it may be at the beginning of the game, it may be at halftime, but I’m gonna be doing a live performance myself as well.”

Per The LA Times

Gronkowski did indeed say that he would be singing the national anthem before the start of the game. Fans will be entertained with his performance, before watching their Bruins play the game.

Adolfo Romero, interim executive director of the L.A. Bowl, said in a statement emailed to The Times: “Rob is one-of-a-kind. He was full of creative ideas to enhance the bowl game for fans and put his mark on it as the host. When he expressed interest in singing the national anthem, we knew this could be a special moment for everyone in attendance.”

As for the game itself, the Bruins will be coming in trying to finish the year on a high note. They dropped three of their last four games during the regular season, but have a chance to change the narrative.

We have already seen a few players leave for the transfer portal, and the team's best defender, Laiatu Latu, has opted out. It will be a challenge for the Bruins against Boise State, but Gronkowski will take some of the pressure off with his antics.

“I’m gonna be dancing my face off, grinding — I’m gonna be grinding the goal posts, I don’t care,” Gronkowski told TMZ. “Whatever I gotta do, I’m gonna do.”

This game should be a ton of fun, so make sure to tune in! It will be played this Saturday afternoon, with kick-off scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PT.
