Former UCLA Bruins Star Zach LaVine Pranks DeMar DeRozan With UCLA School Gear

Zach LaVine wanted to flame the rivalry between UCLA and USC by pranking DeMar DeRozan.

The rivalries between colleges are well known, even if players from rival schools are on the same professional team. Regardless of their comradery while being teammates, the battle for the superior school is still present. Former UCLA Bruins star Zach LaVine decided to prank DeMar DeRozan with a gift.

LaVine approached DeRozan and offered him some brand-new Bruins gear. While we think the gift is a nice gesture, for Trojans DeRozan, the gift was not going to be welcomed.

DeRozan played for rival USC, and with both teams set to face off this Saturday—we imagine LaVine was trying to fan the flames of rivalry between both LA schools.

LaVine spent one year with the Bruins back in 2013, before he headed for the NBA Draft. Despite only playing one season with UCLA, he has a ton of loyalty for his alma mater.

DeRozan conversely played for USC in 2008 before also heading for the NBA Draft.

Despite both men now playing for the Chicago Bulls, they don't let their school allegiances fail them, especially when it comes to pranking one another. At least LaVine was attempting to give his teammate a thoughtful gift.
