UCLA Basketball: How Bruins Starter Plans To Lift Team Out Of 4-Game Losing Skid

In this story:
The UCLA Bruins ended conference play with a 5-6 record, which is the first time the team has dropped below .500 since 2020. This record was coupled with a four-game losing skid that seemed to weigh heavily on the Men of Westwood.
Coach Mick Cronin spoke up about the final loss to Maryland, and the feeling that the team had "lost their confidence." Whatever the case is that has led to the losing streaks and below .500 record needs to stop.
The good news is the young players are very self-aware of their shortcomings and will formulate a plan to turn things around once the break is over.
Sophomore guard Dylan Andrews revealed what he must do to inspire the team once again.
"We just have to be better. We tell our guys every day, we don't lose at home. We have to come out, be better. Our teammates look at Baz [Mack] and I to lead the team. Even when you look at the stat sheet, they scored 15 points off our turnovers, that can't happen. We have to take care of the ball."

Taking care of the ball is certainly one surefire way to ensure that opponents will not be allowed to get ahead with crucial points.
Andrews also realizes that he and Sebastian Mack need to step up in their leadership roles and help guide the team to better play all around. The Bruins have the winter break to figure things out before they take on Oregon State this Thursday.
Something has got to give, as this team is too talented to have finished with a 5-6 record.
