UCLA Basketball: Mick Cronin Reveals If Sebastian Mack Will be Suspended

Will Mack be available vs. USC?

UCLA basketball coach Mick Cronin revealed that Sebastian Mack will not be suspended, meaning he will be available for the Bruins' game against USC this weekend, via Ben Bolch.

Mack was ejected from the Bruins' previous game against Utah after committing a flagrant-2 foul against the Utes' Branden Carlson. Mack struck Carlson in the head/neck area on the court, triggering the foul.

Following Mack's exit from the game, UCLA would go on to lose 70-69. It was a close game for the entire 40 minutes, but Utah hit the game-winning shot in the final second of the game.

This is great news for UCLA that Mack will be available to go up against USC. Mack is the team's leading scorer on the season and will be an important piece for the Bruins to try and defeat the Trojans for the second time this season.

Though USC has not been the best team this season, they are still competitive and more than capable of earning an upset against UCLA. While the Bruins previously defeated them 65-50 this year, that was when the Trojans' Isaiah Collier was still injured. With Collier back in the mix, USC has put up much more of a challenge against their opponents. This included the Trojans defeating Utah 68-64.

Having Mack back will help the Bruins, especially with scoring against the Trojans. The Bruins have not scored 70 or more points in any of their last three games. Instead, they've relied on their defense to get wins and keep them in games. With their leading scorer, UCLA should have another key threat to get them points.
