UCLA Women's Basketball: Sophomore Bruins Tame Wildcats

After a mysterious four-game absence, star sophomore Bruins center Lauren Betts returned to the UCLA lineup on Friday night but it was her classmates who shined the brightest in a 66-58 win over Arizona.
The sophomore class scored all but 11 of the Bruins' points and were led by Gabriela Jaquez and Kiki Rice who combined for 41 points.
Jaquez led all scorers with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the floor and set a new career-high with 15 rebounds. Rice scored 20 and shot 9-for-12 from the field, a tally which included 2-for-2 from behind the arc.
Betts had six points and nine boards in her first game since missing the last four due to undisclosed reasons.
