FanDuel Sportsbook has announced its preseason over/under win total predictions for the 2023 college football season, and in the process helps give fans their first look at what the bar appears to be for the nation's most prominent, elite teams. Georgia, the defending back-to-back College Football Playoff national champion, features prominently in the predictions, but what other teams have a shot to make a run?

Watch for a pair of Big Ten rivals this season as Ohio State and Michigan once again project to be in the running for the national semifinal and national championship race, but can the Buckeyes get this rivalry back from the Wolverines, who have taken two in the row and won a pair of conference championships, too?

Here's what the experts at FanDuel have to say with their latest win total predictions coming into the 2023 kickoff.

College Football Win Totals for 2023 Season

Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver JaCorey Brooks catches a pass during a college football game in the SEC.

Win totals via FanDuel

Tennessee: 8.5 wins. Big Orange was college football's undisputed top-ranked offense a year ago but lost two of its most important pieces as Hendon Hooker and Jalin Hyatt turn pro. That could derail the Vols' burgeoning SEC East title hopes, but Joe Milton and his huge arm step in at quarterback, two talented backs return, and Oregon transfer receiver Dont'e Thornton could be a difference maker. But can UT patch up its generous secondary?

LSU: 8.5 wins. The surprise defending SEC West champs return the bulk of their production on both sides of the ball: Jayden Daniels, LSU's starting quarterback and also the team's leading rusher, is back, as is the entire offensive line, a cadre of talented rushers, two of the SEC's premier front seven destroyers in Maason Smith and Harold Perkins, and a pile of very intriguing transfers including 5-star corner Denver Harris and former Alabama receiver Aaron Anderson.

Colorado: 4.5 wins. One of college football's worst overall teams a year ago got a shot in the arm when it brought on Deion Sanders to overhaul everything. So far, everything's going right as Prime is winning recruiting battles and brought over a gifted transfer portal class, but the Buffaloes play a tough schedule that includes games against TCU, Nebraska, Oregon and USC in the first month of the season.

Iowa: 8.5 wins. Things could be looking up for the Hawkeyes, whose offense, or the lack thereof, was one of college football's running gags last season. The addition of Michigan transfer quarterback Cade McNamara, however, could be an important change for the better to give this unit some life while a customarily talented defense holds things down in the meantime.

Notre Dame: 8.5 wins. Year 2 for Marcus Freeman won't include offensive play-caller Tommy Rees, who left for Alabama, but will have veteran transfer quarterback Sam Hartman, the ACC's all-time leader in touchdown passes, on the field. In addition to one of college football's best offensive lines, some elite running back talent, and a defense that should generate some pressure near the line of scrimmage with some regularity.

Penn State: 9.5 wins. Crucial experience and skill returns on defense and on the offensive line for the Rose Bowl champion Nittany Lions, who also boast one of college football's best running back tandems, all vital ingredients to help tie things over as 5-star quarterback prospect Drew Allar learns the ropes. Losses to Ohio State and Michigan last season kept Penn State out of the Big Ten title race, but win one of those games, and this team could be in the playoff convo late into the season.

Ohio State: 10.5 wins. A program-defining decision awaits Ryan Day at the quarterback position as the Buckeyes look to replace Heisman finalist C.J. Stroud and changes are coming to the offensive line, as well. But whoever takes the job under center won't have trouble finding help: Ohio State returns arguably the premier combined WR/RB rotations in college football, led by already-presumptive first-round draft talent Marvin Harrison, Jr. Pressure is mounting for Day to get a win over Michigan; he's 0-2 the last two tries.

Michigan: 10.5 wins. Things are trending up for the Wolverines, who in the last two seasons have dominated Ohio State, won the Big Ten, and made the College Football Playoff semifinal. Still, they haven't advanced to the national title game. That's next on the menu for a team that returns two elite offensive skill weapons in running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards in addition to dynamic quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

Georgia: 11.5 wins. College football's back-to-back national champion and budding dynasty are on the cusp of knocking Alabama off the top of the mountain, if they haven't already. Another batch of elite recruits are set to take the stage to replenish the nation's best defense while Georgia scouts a new quarterback to connect with some of the SEC's better skill pieces, including tight end Brock Bowers and two notable transfer receiver pickups in RaRa Thomas and Dominic Lovett.
