Another big night has Ronald Acuña Jr. dominating the record books once again.

The Atlanta Braves outfielder and NL MVP favorite made history in multiple ways in his latest outing, despite getting taken to the ground by a Colorado Rockies fan in the seventh inning. Acuña finished the night 4-for-5 with five RBI, two stolen bases and a walk, powering his team to a 14-4 win.

It marked Acuña's fourth career game with a home run and multiple stolen bases, according to MLB.com's Sarah Langs. Acuña now has the most such games by a Braves player since at least 1901, as he was previously tied with Chipper Jones and Ron Grant.

Langs also noted that Acuña is now the ninth player with four hits, five RBI and multiple stolen bases in a game, since RBI became official in 1920. Acuña is just the fourth player to accomplish the feat since 1949 and the second since 1997.

Brandon Phillips was the most recent player to put up that kind of stat line, doing so for the Cincinnati Reds back in 2015.

On the grander scale of the 2023 season, Acuña is now batting .335 with 29 home runs, 79 RBI, 61 stolen bases, a .989 OPS and a 6.6 WAR.

Acuña became the fourth player in MLB history to post a 20-home run, 60-stolen base season with his two steals Monday. Rickey Henderson did it three times, Joe Morgan did it twice and Eric Davis did it once, according to MLB.com.

However, Acuña now has more home runs than anyone on that list, per ESPN Stats & Info. Henderson had 28 homers in two of his 60-stolen base seasons, eventually reaching 65 and 87 steals those years.

Acuña is now one home run away from becoming the first player in MLB history to hit 30 home runs and steal 60 bases. He is also the first player since 2017 with 60 stolen bases.

The Braves face off against the Rockies again Tuesday, with first pitch scheduled for 8:40 p.m. ET.
