Entering play on Monday, the New York Yankees were 18-17 and in last place in the ultra-competitive American League East.

The Yankees have dealt with several injuries this season to key players including Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson, Carlos Rodon, Luis Severino, Tommy Kahnle, Lou Trivino and Harrison Bader.

The Yankees are starting to get positive updates on the health front as Judge is set to return on Tuesday and Severino will make his first Triple-A rehab start this week, but MLB Network Radio host Jensen Lewis says he's worried about the Yankees going forward.

You can hear his full take below, but here is a partial transcript, which came on Monday after the Yankees blew a 6-0 lead and lost to the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.

"That loss was crippling in more ways than one. Not only from a mental standpoint but from a standings standpoint. The Yankees now at 18-17 are 10 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays... The Yankees have now lost 10 of their last 16 and they will get Aaron Judge back this week but it feels like there's more things that have to be solved, not only on the injury front, but also on the offensive front."

Lewis also cites the Yankees anemic offense as a problem for concern. He says the team is too dependent on Judge and is requiring too much of young players.

Of course, the Yankees are starting a series with the worst team in baseball, the Oakland Athletics, on Monday.

If they were to get three wins in that series, people may start feeling a lot less panicky.
