The New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics open up a three-game series in the Bronx on Monday night, and both teams enter in last place of their respective divisions.

The Yankees are currently 18-17 and are 10.0 back in the American League East while the A's are 8-27 and 13.0 games back in the American League West.

Here is the lineup for the homestanding Yankees, managed by Aaron Boone.

1) Anthony Volpe, SS

2) Gleyber Torres, 2B

3) Anthony Rizzo, 1B

4) DJ LeMahieu, DH

5) Harrison Bader, CF

6) Isiah Kiner-Falefa, 3B

7) Oswaldo Cabrera, RF

8) Jose Trevino, C

9) Aaron Hicks, LF

SP: Nestor Cortes (3-2, 4.91 ERA)

The Yankees did get some good news on Monday as it was announced that starting pitcher Luis Severino will make a rehab start this week at Triple-A. The team is hopeful he'll be back before the end of the month.

Barring any late setbacks, Aaron Judge is expected back from the injured list on Tuesday.

As for the A's, managed by Mark Kotsay:

1) Esteury Ruiz, CF

2) Carlos Perez, DB

3) Brent Rooker, LF

4) Jesus Aguilar, 1B

5) Ramon Laureano, RF

6) Jordan Diaz, 2B

7) Shea Langaliers, C

8) Kevin Smith, 3B

9) Nick Allen, SS

SP) JP Sears (0-2, 5.06 ERA)

The Athletics enter this series with the fewest wins in baseball, just behind the Royals, who have nine.

It's been a dreadful season for the A's, who have the worst record in the sport, may relocate to Las Vegas, and recently suspended broadcaster Glen Kuiper for an inappropriate comment.
