The New York Mets' 2023 Official Regular Season Schedule

MLB schedules will look a bit different in 2023, as each team will play each other for the first time in baseball history. Here's a look at the New York Mets' entire schedule for the 2023 Major League Baseball regular season.

The New York Mets are now less than two months away from Opening Day.

The Mets will open the 2023 regular season in Miami against the Marlins. Then, they will travel to Milwaukee for a series with the Brewers at American Family Field, before hosting the Marlins and San Diego Padres at Citi Field.

For the first time ever, the Mets will play a series against each of the other 29 Major League Baseball teams. All 30 teams will play a series against each other, for the first time in baseball history. The hope is that it will generate more fan interest, as star players from the opposite league will appear at the city's home ballpark every other year. Mets fans will get a chance to see Los Angeles Angels stars Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout play in New York in late-August.

The schedule change will also provide help to teams that play in hypercompetitive divisions. The Mets play in an extremely competitive National League East. Both the Mets and the Atlanta Braves won 101 games last year, while the third-place Philadelphia Phillies reached the World Series. 

The downside to the change is it means that rivals will play each other less. The Mets and Braves used to play a minimum of 18 regular season games against each other. This season, they'll play each other 13 times, with their final series coming in mid-August. The two rivals will not play each other once over the final month of the season. 

The Mets are listed at plus-140 on the Fanduel gambling website as its odds of winning the National League East. The Braves are slightly ahead at plus-135.
