Daniel Cormier Makes Bold Prediction For Conor McGregor's Next UFC Fight
Daniel Cormier thinks he knows when the stars will align for Conor McGregor's next fight.
McGregor hasn't been seen inside the Octagon since fracturing his tibia and fibula back in July 2021. The "Notorious" one suffered the injury at the end of the first round of his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. During McGregor's road to recovery, he exited the USADA testing pool. He has yet to re-enter the pool, leaving many to wonder if a planned matchup with Michael Chandler will ever take place.
"Mystic Mac" and Chandler served as opposing coaches on season 31 of "The Ultimate Fighter." At one point, things got heated between the two and McGregor shoved Chandler, who appeared to be fired up and willing to match McGregor's energy. While that moment sparked excitement for the matchup, some question if that's the closest we'll get to an actual fight between the two.

In a recent episode of ESPN's "DC & RC" show, Daniel Cormier jokingly begged Conor McGregor to not leave Michael Chandler high and dry.
"Please, Conor McGregor, please fight Michael Chandler," Cormier said. "Please don't do this to Mike, don't take this fight from Mike, man. Mike has been waiting, and waiting, and waiting [laughs]. Mike would be crushed, bro. Iron Mike has been waiting for this Conor McGregor payday. He said he's going to fight Conor McGregor in a fun way to knock him out. A fun fight for the fans."
Ultimately, Cormier believes McGregor will give Chandler the fight he's been waiting for. As for when the fight will take place, "DC" believes it'll be saved for a massive card.
"He'll fight him on UFC 300," Cormier said. "Conor McGregor will be back and he will fight Michael Chandler."
