Elon Musk Gives Huge Update on Mark Zuckerberg Fight, Dismisses UFC Involvement

A fight between the two billionares may be getting closer to being booked.

Elon Musk has provided some major updates on his proposed fight with Mark Zuckerberg, and apparently the UFC won’t have any involvement in promoting the matchup.

Discussions around the two billionaires actually fighting have surprisingly persisted after the idea was first suggested several months ago, and hype around the matchup has only increased since both men have been pictured training with a number of current or former champions from the UFC and Bellator.

Zuckerberg’s exploits in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and his overall frequency of training have made it seem like he might be the better-prepared combatant, but Musk has been more active on the actual organizational side of matters and has now shared some interesting new details about the matchup.

Musk had already indicated in a previous tweet that the fight would be streamed on X (formerly known as Twitter) and proceeds from the event would go to veterans, but his apparent conversations with Italy’s Prime Minister and Minister of Culture are the first real updates on a potential location.

UFC President Dana White has actively indicated he wants to help promote the matchup basically since it was first mentioned online, and on a recent Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson episode White claimed to have held his own talks with the Italian Minister of Culture to hold the fight at the famed Roman Colosseum.

Musk’s teaser about “an epic location” in Italy certainly seems to imply that The Colosseum is a route that’s being explored for the fight, however it does appear that the UFC and White are going to miss out on having any sort of involvement in the matchup if it does end up going ahead.
