PFL Video: Muhammad Ali's Grandson Lands Face Plant KO at 2023 World Championship

All six of the lightweight's wins have come via knockout.

Biaggio Ali Walsh added another impressive win to his amateur MMA record when he competed on the preliminary card of the 2023 PFL World Championships on November 24.

The grandson of the late-great Muhammad Ali, Ali Walsh has been a member of the PFL roster since late 2022 when he debuted for the promotion with a 45-second KO at the 2022 Championship event.

Ali Walsh has stayed active this year and collected three more stoppage victories before he was booked to take on the unbeaten Joel Galarza Lopez as part of PFL 10 in Washington, D.C.

Lopez entered the night as a massive underdog but managed to show off some incredible toughness and catch his opponent with several big countershots in the first round. The 28-year-old was dropped early in the second round before he managed to recover, but Ali Walsh kept the pressure on in order to secure his sixth amateur victory.

The violent knockout maintained Ali Walsh’s perfect finishing record, and it was also his fastest victory since his debut performance for the PFL last year.

Ali Walsh has now won six fights since he was submitted in his amateur debut in June 2022. The PFL’s recent acquisition of Bellator as well as a number of high-profile free agent signings have the promotion poised for a big 2024, and Ali Walsh will likely feature prominently in whatever the PFL has planned.
