Dana White Reveals First Fighter for UFC 300 & Why Fans Should Be Excited

Dana White finally reveals some details about UFC 300

UFC CEO Dana White has promised that Jim Miller will compete on the UFC 300 card in 2024. He also explained why fans should be excited for the UFC's landmark event.

During an interview with TNT Sports, White promised Miller will be on the card, and passed the word to matchmaker Sean Shelby to ensure it happens. White also shared his conviction on why UFC 300 is geared to make fans "lose their minds:"

"If you look at the card [UFC 296] this weekend - this card's awesome," White told TNT. "You wanna build these amazing cards that make people lose their minds.

"What's gonna make UFC 300 more special than this Saturday night? You know what I mean? There's a lot more that goes into it than just the card.

"What you can expect is the first prelim of the night, you’re going to go ‘Holy s***! This is the first prelim of the night, this is insane, this isn’t even right. These two shouldn't be on the first prelim on the night.' That is how good 300 is going to be."

Who Else Could Be Fighting at UFC 300?

Currently, there's a veil of mystery surrounding UFC 300, with no additional details revealed about the event.

Some of the UFC's marquee names, including Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, are slated to remain on the sidelines until the summer of 2024. White has also denied rumors of any returning super stars like Ronda Rousey or Brock Lesnar.

White is also insistent on maintaining the Stipe Miocic vs. Jones matchup, so Tom Aspinall will either be absent from the lineup or defend his interim belt against another contender.

At light heavyweight, Alex Pereira could defend his title against former champion Jamahal Hill, or entertain a fifth bout with Israel Adesanya.

There could be a chance of either Sean Strickland or Dricus Du Plessis defending their title against the winner of UFC 296, since both Colby Covington and Leon Edwards have registered their interest in becoming double champions.

A host of other names jump out, including Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, Aljamain Sterling, Kamaru Usman, Dominick Cruz, Paul Felder, Sergei Pavlovich, Alexander Volkov and many more.
