UFC 299 is just about here, as one of 2024's most stacked MMA cards thus far will take place Saturday night at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla.

The main event will see a rematch four years in the making take center stage as Sean O'Malley (17-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) attempts to avenge his lone MMA blemish against Marlon Vera (23-8 MMA, 15-7 UFC).

The pair have traded barbs on social media over the last few years, and Thursday's pre-fight press conference added additional fuel to the fire.

Nonetheless, mutual respect was shown between both men as O'Malley will defend his bantamweight title for the first time in his career, previously winning the belt from then-champion Aljamain Sterling with a second-round KO/TKO win.

The co-headliner will see Dustin Poirier (29-8 MMA, 21-7, 1 NC) put his No. 3 lightweight ranking on the line in a five-round, non-title affair against No. 12-ranked Benoit Saint-Denis (13-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC), a winner of 13 out of 14 MMA fights. The winner arguably makes a case for a lightweight title shot against Islam Makhachev or a No. 1 contender bout down the line.

Poirier, 35, is coming off a July KO loss to Justin Gaethje, just short of winning the "BMF" strap.

Other notable fights on the card include the debut of Bellator veteran Michael Page (21-2 MMA), as he takes on Kevin Holland (25-10 MMA, 12-7 UFC) in a welterweight bout. Gilbert Burns (22-6 MMA, 15-6 UFC) returns to the Octagon against Jack Della Maddalena (16-2 MMA, 6-0 UFC) in a potential must-win to keep pace in a crowded division, also at 170 pounds. Petr Yan (16-5 MMA, 8-4 UFC) also attempts to re-establish bantamweight championship form against Song Yadong (21-7 MMA, 10-2-1 UFC).
