UFC News: Colby Covington Answers Ian Machado Garry Callout in Shocking Video

"Chaos" has outlined a few requirements before he's willing to fight Garry.

Colby Covington has finally responded to Ian Machado Garry’s callout from UFC 298.

“Chaos” has traded words with seemingly every top-ranked welterweight on the UFC roster, and given that Garry has quickly established himself as one of the division’s brashest personalities it’s no surprise that the two men have recently engaged in some heated exchanges.

Garry got on the microphone following his split-decision win over Geoff Neal at UFC 298 and called for a matchup with the former interim welterweight champion, and now Covington has responded with an expletive-laden video outlining “three stipulations” before the two men can meet in the Octagon.

A member of the UFC roster since 2014, Covington came up short in two title fights with Kamaru Usman before he returned from a lengthy layoff last December and dropped a lackluster unanimous decision to current welterweight king Leon Edwards at UFC 298.

A matchup between Covington and Garry could be a huge fight to help sort out what is currently a somewhat-unclear welterweight title picture, although #2-ranked Belal Muhammad still seems certain he’ll be fighting Edwards next despite the fact that the fight wasn't booked for UFC 300.

It likely won’t take long for Garry to issue a response to Covington’s video, and although it seems unlikely that the Irishman will grant any of the former interim champion’s “stipulations” the ongoing bad blood between the two will certainly help to build more hype for that fight if it does finally come together.
