UFC Fight Night Results & Highlights: Rozenstruik Jabs Up Gaziev
The UFC returned to Las Vegas on Saturday night for another Fight Night event at the UFC Apex facility.
The heavyweight main event featured #12-ranked Jairzinho Rozenstruik taking on the unbeaten Shamil Gaziev. “Bigi Boy” was competing in his sixth UFC main event, and after surviving an early takedown he largely controlled the fight with his jab to hand Gaziev his first loss.
Another unbeaten Contender Series veteran was also in action in the co-main event when Vitor Petrino squared off with UFC veteran Tyson Pedro. The Australian got back into the win column with a knockout win at UFC 293 last year, but Pedro decided to leave his gloves in the Octagon after he suffered a decision loss to the Brazilian.
Perhaps the most intriguing bout of the entire night was a flyweight matchup that saw Muhammad Mokaev extend his unbeaten record against Alex Perez, and the card also featured the return of Umar Nurmagomedov and a pair of vicious knockouts from Steve Erceg and Vinicius Oliveira.
