In this story:
Throughout the 1990s, Reebok was represented by many of the best athletes in the world. The brand matched its athletes' larger-than-life personalities with equally impressive performance gear and memorable marketing campaigns.
It is impossible to discuss the era without mentioning the greatest running back in college and NFL history. For 15 seasons, Emmitt Smith dominated the league before eventually becoming the league's all-time leading rusher. After many years, Reebok is signaling it is ready to release retro footwear from the Dallas Cowboys legend's signature line.
On Tuesday afternoon, Reebok teased the exciting news on social media. The brand posted a vintage advertisement showing Smith with the caption, "Returning soon… #ReebokES22." The poster shows Smith carrying the football with a contents label reading, "Now with active ingredient ES22."
Additionally, the retro poster lists ingredients such as Hexalite and a turf-influenced outsole. Lastly, "100% pure bone-grinding, brain-rattling Emmitt soul."The disclaimer reads, "Organically grown in the Emmitt Zone."
The Reebok ES22 was first launched in 1997 and has not enjoyed a retro release since 2013. The mix of performance, personality, and style will infuse even more excitement into the sports world. Stay tuned to FanNation Kicks for more updates on this story and all your sneaker news.
