1. Madison-Ridgeland Academy (15-2)

Last week: No. 1

The Patriots are the toast of MAIS after opening the 2021 portion of the scheudule with wins over Clinton Christian, Parklane Academy and Hillcrest Christian last week.

2. Jackson Academy (13-2)

Last week: No. 2

The Raiders suffered a head-scratcher of a 58-39 loss to Hillcrest Christian, but rebounded with a convincing 60-40 win over Copiah Academy to get back on track.

3. New Site (16-1)

Last week: No. 3

The Royals swept three games to take the Prentiss County tournament and don't appear ready to slow down headed into region play.

4. St. Andrew’s (5-2)

Last week: No. 4

The Saints were off last week. They return to action Tuesday at Velma Jackson.

5. Ingomar (15-4)

Last week: No. 6

The Falcons picked up a couple of wins by comfortable margins, beating West Union 66-46 and North Pontotoc 71-51. Next up this week? Home dates with Tremont and Baldwyn.

6. Simpson Academy (15-1)

Last week: No. 10

Let the good times roll: the Cougars ran their winning streak to 13 games with three wins last week, including an impressive 52-48 win over then-No. 5 Hartfield Academy.

7. Hartfield Academy (15-5)

Last week: No. 5

The Hawks dropped a 52-48 decision to Simpson Academy last week, but have a big opportunity to get back in the winner's column in a big way this week against Hillcrest Christian.

8. St. Patrick (15-1)

Last week: No. 7

The Irish rebounded from their first loss of the season with two wins last week, beating Perry Central 73-38 and East Marion 68-55 to open region play.

9. Bay Springs (10-0)

Last week: No. 8

Coach Corey Mackey’s Bulldogs stayed unbeaten with a 79-63 win over Enterprise Clarke. They can get to 3-0 in 5-2A games with wins over Puckett and Mize this week.

10. Houston (10-4)

Last week: No. 9

The Hilltoppers dropped a game to start last week, falling to New Hope 72-50, but bounced back by drubbing Vardaman 73-14.
