SANTA ANA– Behind dominant defense and a balanced scoring effort, No. 7 Long Beach Poly moved to 2-0 on the season against No. 2 Mater Dei who is otherwise 30-1.

The Jackrabbits led by as much as 17 points in the second half before Mater Dei nearly came back. Ashlee Lewis and Simone Morris led Poly with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Brooke Demetre led the Monarchs with 18 points.
