SANTA ANA – Elijah Brown finished his outstanding freshman campaign by throwing for four touchdowns to lead Mater Dei to a 34-17 win against St. John Bosco on Saturday. The Monarchs' win over the 2019-20 national champion and their arch rival sealed an undefeated 2020-21 season and Trinity League championship.

C.J. Williams led MD with two receiving touchdowns, and Kyron Ware-Hudson and Josiah Zamora both had touchdown catches as well. Shoes Brinkley and Domani Jackson both had interceptions for the Monarchs, and Quincy Craig forced a fumble. Chase Meyer went four-for-four on PATs and two-for-two on field goals (38 yards, 42 yards).

For St. John Bosco, Jabari Bates ran for a 66-yard touchdown, Matayo Uiagalelei had a touchdown catch thrown by Pierce Clarkson, and Andre Meono kicked a 37-yard field goal.
