Watch: Maalik Murphy, Cincere Rhaney, Serra (Gardena) cruise past Apple Valley 31-3 to win CIFSS D3 title

APPLE VALLEY– Serra completed its quest for its fourth Southern Section championship on Saturday with a 31-3 Division 3 title win at Apple Valley.
5-star Texas commit Maalik Murphy threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Coleman, and sophomore RB Cincere Rhaney rushed for two touchdowns for the Cavaliers. Kai Honda went 2-2 on field goals. Troy Crozier blocked a punt in Apple Valley's end zone for a safety, DB Tre Harrison forced a fumble, and DB Markell Slaughter grabbed an interception.
The lone score for Apple Valley, which was missing 4-star QB and Michigan commit Jayden Denegal, came in the first quarter on a field goal by Brady Weinberg.
