Watch: Nico Mosley, Mater Dei Catholic roll to 34-25 win over Central Catholic for CIF 2-AA State title

MISSION VIEJO– Mater Dei Catholic jumped out to a 27-7 lead and never looked back to defeat Central Catholic 34-25 in the CIF 2-AA State championship. The game was played at Saddleback College on Friday evening.
Nico Mosley ran for three touchdowns for the Crusaders, and Isaiah Buxton had an 88-yard pick-six. Brian Dukes also grabbed an interception for Mater Dei, and Dominic Nankil threw a touchdown pass to Surahz Buncom.
Aiden Taylor ran for two touchdowns for the Raiders, including a 71-yarder to start their opening drive of the second half. However, he then left the game with the injury and didn't return. Julian Lopez also had two touchdown runs for Central Catholic, and Jaelen Nichols recorded an interception.
