Los Angeles Unified School District to resume athletic competitions on Saturday

Following a five day pause due to COVID-19, high school athletic teams and student athletes in the Los Angeles Unified School District can resume athletic competitions on Saturday.

Following a five day pause due to COVID-19, high school athletic teams and student athletes in the Los Angeles Unified School District can resume athletic competitions on Saturday (Jan. 15), the District announced on Friday.

The District had paused athletic contests and forced teams and individuals to practice outdoors this week. Teams and individuals can now return to indoor practices and games.

CONFIRMED: LAUSD email says athletic competition can resume tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 15).
