RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Corona Centennial made a statement in their 62-37 road victory over Riverside Poly on Monday. The Huskies went on a 15-0 run to begin the second quarter and led by double digits for the rest of the game. Senior New Mexico commit Donovan Dent scored 20 points for Corona Centennial and junior guard Jared McCain added 19. Payden White scored 13 points to lead Riverside Poly in defeat.

Monday’s game was scheduled after the two teams were set to play in the Classic at Damien Platinum Division championship game in December, but Poly had to pull out due to COVID-19. Monday's win improved Corona Centennial’s record to 21-1 and it virtually clinched home court for the Southern Section Open Division playoffs next month. Riverside Poly dropped to 21-2 with the loss.
