The Torreys win their 16th straight game en route to section championship

SAN DIEGO - Breya Cunningham scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead La Jolla Country Day to a convincing 68-53 victory over Mission Hills on Saturday night in the CIF San Diego Section Open Division girls basketball championship.

Sumayah Sugaapong added 19 points for the Torreys (24-2).

Jessica Grant led Mission Hills (24-7) with 20 points and Kenna Ka contributed 18. Grant and Ka both connected on six 3-pointers in the game.
