Mitty will play Sierra Canyon for the CIF Open Division girls basketball state title

CONCORD, Calif. - Siena Guttadauro scored 16 points to lead five Archbishop Mitty players in double figures as the Monarchs held off Carondelet 72-63 in the CIF NorCal Open Division Girls Basketball Championship on Tuesday at Carondelet High School

Archbishop Mitty moves on to the CIF State Open Division Championship game vs. Sierra Canyon on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Golden One Center in Sacramento.

Mitty built a 40-33 halftime lead, then effectively put the game away with a 25-point third quarter. The Monarchs led 65-49 entering the final eight minutes.

Talana Lepolo kept Carondelet in the game, scoring a game-high 32 points - including 23 in the second half.

Makayla Moore scored 15 for Mitty and Morgan Cheli added 14. Noemie Bariteau chipped in 12 points and Maya Hernandez finished with 10.
