Photos: Offers fly following Corona Centennial football's college showcase
CORONA, Calif. -- After a two year pause due to COVID-19, the Corona Centennial football college showcase returned to the Huskies campus on Thursday night. Dozens of Division 1 college coaches flocked to Husky Stadium to scout and watch the action.
"It feels really good because we haven't had one of these in a while because of the COVID pandemic," junior linebacker Owen Chambliss said. "It feels good to get back out here and compete with my guys, get some guys some looks who feel under recruited."
In total, over 25 scholarship offers were handed out after the showcase, according to Huskies assistant coach Anthony Catalano.
Freshman receiver CJ Butler was the big winner on the night. The speedy slot receiver performed so well that we walked away with offers from Utah, Oregon State and UMass.
