Look: Ethan Dungo's 2-run walk-off single lifts De La Salle to Northern California baseball championship

The 2021-22 NorCal high school sports season came to an end in thrilling fashion

CONCORD, Calif. - In the biggest moment of his career, Ethan Dungo delivered.

Dungo's two-strike, two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave De La Salle a 7-6 victory over St. Francis (Mountain View) on Saturday in the CIF Northern California Division I baseball championship.

Dungo's game-winning hit completed a four-run seventh inning rally for De La Salle. The Spartans trailed 6-3 entering their final at bat. 

The game also served as a small measure of redemption for the De La Salle football team's loss to St. Francis in September - a loss that snapped the Spartans' 318-game winning streak against Northern California opponents. 

De La Salle (26-6) snapped St. Francis' 10-game winning streak on Saturday. The Lancers finished the season 31-5.
