LA HABRA, Calif. – On Saturday at the H.O.P.E. Showcase at Sonora, Pinewood – technically playing under the club name Fever – took on reigning State Division 2 champion Sage Hill to end the day.

As its known to do, Fever/Pinewood put on a shooting clinic to win 53-35. Despite the lopsided score, the Lightning still had a strong effort against the Bay Area powerhouse factoring in the absence of leading scorer and rebounder Emily Eadie.
