JeyQuan Smith, Cajon four-star athlete, commits to South Florida over Washington, Utah

Smith, also a standout sprinter, chose the Bulls in a National Signing Day ceremony at Cajon High School

Cajon High School (San Bernadino, California) four-star athlete JeyQuan Smith utilized his wardrobe to announce his commitment to South Florida on Wednesday's National Signing Day.

First, he removed his Washington Huskies headband, then his Utah Utes jacket, leaving a green South Florida shirt as the crowd at Cajon's signing day ceremony, streamed live on Instagram, erupted in applause.

The standout football star and sprinter is the No. 27 athlete in the country, per ESPN.

Smith visited Utah and Washington in September, Texas A&M in November and told 247 Sports he'd be deciding between Oregon, Utah and Washington in November.

USF made a late push. He visited on Jan. 20 and an offer came days later.

Smith is one of the top sprinters in California. He finished third in the CIF-Southern Section Division I championship in the 200 and eighth in the 100 (10.84 seconds) with personal bests of 10.55 (100) and 21.1 (200).
