It's officially high school basketball playoff time in California. 

On Friday evening, the CIF Southern Section announced the field of eight teams that will comprise the Open Division: Bishop Montgomery, Corona Centennial, Harvard-Westlake, Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks), Sierra Canyon, St. Bernard, St. John Bosco, and West Ranch.

Playoff seeding and schedules are still yet to be released. Corona Centennial defeated Harvard-Westlake 68-48 last year in the section title game. 

The CIFSS girls basketball Open Division field is expected to be released at 8 p.m., following the conclusion of the Gold Coast League championship battle between Brentwood School and Windward.
