The regular season is coming to a close in the San Diego Section and it's time to take a look at the top juniors in the section who have yet to make their college commitments.

24 juniors in the section have already made their college commitments while dozens more will do so over the coming months. Players are listed in alphabetical order.

TOP 35 UNCOMMITTED JUNIORS IN SAN DIEGO SECTION BASEBALL

Avery Anderson – RHP – Poway HS

Anderson leads the Titans in innings pitched with 48.2 during his first varsity season. He's limited opponents to a .210 batting average and has a 1.44 ERA in nine appearances.

Tyler Arnold – RHP/INF – Rancho Bernardo HS

Arnold has showcased his added power this season with with five home runs and nine doubles through 24 regular season games. He continues to dominate on the mound, holding a career record of 15-1 and a 1.69 ERA over 144.2 varsity innings.

Jace Barajas – INF – Torrey Pines HS

Barajas made his varsity debut late last season and has taken over at third base for the Falcons this year. He's hitting .280 with five doubles, two triples and a home run and has showcased a strong arm at the hot corner.

Andrew Becker – OF – Canyon Crest Academy

Becker has been a bright spot for a Ravens team that lost so many key players following last season's CIF title. He's hitting .519 with 19 extra-base hits, including eight triples, and has 15 stolen bases in 25 games.

Noah Betanco – INF – Eastlake HS

Betanco has been heating up in the latter part of the season, collecting four doubles and a home run over his past six games. For the season, he has a .446 on-base percentage and four home runs.

Tommy Carney – INF – St. Augustine HS

Carney has had a strong first full varsity season, hitting .321 with a .493 on-base percentage to finish the regular season. He has six doubles, a triple, two home runs and has stolen five bases.

Jack Circuit – INF – La Jolla Country Day School

Circuit has 11 multi-hit games this season and closed out the regular season with a .376 batting average. He's been among San Diego's best power hitters with nine doubles and seven home runs.

Jack Clark – LHP/OF – University City HS

In his third varsity season, Clark has taken a big step forward on the mound. In 11 appearances, he had a 0.89 ERA and struck out 50 batters in 39.1 innings. He also hit .279 with three doubles and a triple.

Jake Davis – RHP – Eastlake HS

Davis has stepped up to lead the Titans on the mound this season. He has a 6-0 record and a 1.14 ERA while striking out 36 batters in 49.1 innings.

Xavier Farnum – C – Christian HS

Farnum has had a very consistent first three varsity seasons, hitting over .330 in each year. He closed out this regular season with a .446 on-base percentage, seven doubles and three home runs.

Tyler Foster – RHP/INF – Carlsbad HS

Foster has made six starts for the Lancers this season after becoming eligible following his transfer from Sage Creek. Facing several of the section's best teams, he's struck out 31 batters in 31 innings and has an ERA of 1.58.

Jonathan Freedman – RHP – La Jolla Country Day School

Freedman has been lights out in a relief role for the Torreys this season. In 13 games, he's 5-0 with a 0.31 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 22.1 innings.

Talin Gardini – LHP/1B – Patrick Henry HS

Gardini continues to be dominant as a two-way player, now finishing up his third varsity season. He hit .338 with a .505 on-base percentage, three home runs and four doubles during the regular season. In 29.2 innings, he struck out 52 batters and finished with a 1.42 ERA.

Blake Gordon – RHP/INF – Carlsbad HS

Gordon has pitched in 12 games for the Lancers this season, finishing the regular season with a 4-1 record and a 1.33 ERA. He's also hit two home runs in 19 plate appearances.

Jordan Green – RHP/INF – Scripps Ranch HS

Green has excelled for the Falcons both at the plate and on the mound this season. He leads Scripps Ranch with seven doubles and a .390 batting average and has a 2.79 ERA with 37 strikeouts across 37.2 innings this spring.

Levi Ham – LHP/1B – Maranatha Christian HS

Ham has been dominant on both sides of the ball this season for the top seed in the Division 3 playoffs. He's hitting .400 with eight doubles, two triples and six home runs and also boasts a 2.04 ERA and 36 strikeouts during 24 innings on the mound.

Justin Heffler – INF/OF – St. Augustine HS

Heffler has seen time in both the infield and outfield over his three varsity seasons. He's has a .452 on-base percentage with six doubles to finish the regular season and has been one of San Diego's most aggressive players on the base path with 14 stolen bases.

Will Hostetter – INF – Oceanside HS

Hostetter recently picked up his 100th varsity hit in season three. He's hitting .421 with a .500 on-base percentage to go along with six doubles and three home runs. He's stolen 52 bases during his three varsity seasons.

Jacob Imoto – LHP/1B – Mission Hills HS

Imoto raised his batting average 55 points this season and showed improve patience, finishing the regular season with a .425 on-base percentage. He also struck out 20 batters in 19.1 innings on the mound.

Josh Johnson – RHP – Rancho Bernardo HS

Johnson has pitched in 11 games for the Broncos this season, primarily in relief. He's limited opponents to a .167 batting average and has a 0.66 ERA in 21.1 innings.

Alex Leyva – INF/RHP – Morse HS

Leyva has played in 78 games during his three seasons at Morse, hitting .465 with 39 extra-base hits. He's also pitched over 100 innings during the past three seasons, striking out 120 batters while holding a 2.36 ERA.

Carter Lockwood – OF – Patrick Henry HS

Lockwood closed out the regular season by hitting .286 with a .432 on-base percentage. He had two doubles, a triple, a home run and stole five bases.

Ashton McCurty – RHP/INF – Christian HS

McCurty has been a two-way contributor during all three varsity seasons at Christian. He closed out the regular season this year with a 1.13 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 55.2 innings and has a career record of 13-2. He also has 78 hits and five home runs over his three seasons.

Broden Mitchell – OF – Mission Hills HS

Mitchell finished his first full varsity regular season by hitting .373 with an on-base percentage of .515. He had four doubles, a triple and drove in 17 runs.

Joey Navarro – RHP – Mission Hills HS

Navarro tossed 17 varsity innings last season and bumped that number up to 51 during the regular season this year. He's 5-3 with a 2.61 ERA and has 65 strikeouts as the playoffs are set to begin.

Khalyl Perez – C – Montgomery HS

Perez has made a significant jump this season, hitting in 18 of 24 games. He closed out the regular season by hitting .338 with four home runs and three doubles while driving in 26 runs.

Brady Petit – INF – La Costa Canyon HS

Petit has raised his batting average nearly 100 points this season while holding down third base base for San Diego's reigning Open Division champions. He has six doubles and 10 runs batted in.

Johnny Rocco – INF – Christian HS

Rocco debuted for the Patriots in early April after transferring in from Cathedral Catholic. He's hit in 14 of 17 games he's played for Christian, finishing the regular season with a .429 batting average, two doubles and two home runs.

Kyle Rogers – INF – Mission Hills HS

Rogers raised his batting average from .221 as a sophomore to .365 this season, collecting 11 doubles, two triples and three home runs. He also drew 24 walks and was hit by 10 pitches, finishing the regular season with a .560 on-base percentage.

Thomas Smith – RHP/INF – Madison HS

Smith led the Warhawks with a .366 batting average during the regular season and tied for the team lead with 48.1 innings on the mound. He closed out the regular season with 52 strikeouts and a 2.17 ERA.

Trey Telfer – RHP – Cathedral Catholic HS

Telfer had a 6.52 ERA last season in 11 appearances and has improved in all categories this season. He has a 5-0 record and a 1.91 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 44 innings for the Dons.

Gavin Vanderpool – OF – San Marcos HS

Vanderpool has gotten stronger as the year has progressed, hitting in seven of his past nine games. He has three doubles and two home runs and closed out the regular season with back-to-back multi-hit games.

Jeremiah Vargas – OF – Eastlake HS

A full-time starter in the outfield for the second straight season, Vargas has raised his batting average from .197 last year to .291 this year. He has five doubles, a triple, a home run and has stolen seven bases.

Vincent Venverloh – INF/RHP – Cathedral Catholic HS

Venverloh has been a reliable performer at the plate and on the mound for the Dons this season. He's hitting .281 with four doubles, a triple and a home run and has a 2.08 ERA across 30.1 innings on the mound.

Everett Wisdom – OF – Poway HS

Wisdom had just five hits during his sophomore season and has proven to be one of San Diego's most improved players as a junior. He's hitting .377 with three doubles, a triple and a home run through 25 games.
