FRESNO, CALIFORNIA — Behind a stellar defensive effort, Clovis North defeated visiting JSerra Catholic 23-7 on Friday night in an intersectional showdown.

The Broncos, who improved to 4-0 on the season, held the Lions scoreless until only two minutes remained in the final quarter.

Clovis North took a 14-0 lead with 6:42 left in the second quarter on a 49-yard touchdown pass from Mario Cosma to Vincent Cordoba.
