Carlsbad senior wide receiver Will Cianfrini committed to San Diego State, he announced on Saturday night.

Cianfrini transferred into Carlsbad this past offseason after previously playing at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas. He was able to develop a rapport with Carlsbad five-star quarterback Julian Sayin at the Elite 11 quarterback competition in Los Angeles.

Cianfrini has averaged 13 yards per reception this season while finding the end zone three times during Carlsbad's 8-0 start to the 2023 season.

He becomes the 19th football prospect in San Diego's class of 2024 to make a college commitment and the fourth from Carlsbad. His committed teammates include Julian Sayin (Alabama), Luke Ferrelli (Stanford) and Griffin Rosenbloom (Penn).
