CIF Northern Section 2023 football playoff brackets: Scores, matchups, game times

Top seeds are Chico (D2), University Prep (D3), Colusa (D4), Portola (D5) and Tulelake (8-man).

The five-division Northern Section football brackets are complete.

The games kick off Friday and concludes Nov. 25. The champions in the 11-man divisions advance to the CIF State Northern Regional championships on Dec. 1-2. There is no regional playoffs for 8-person football.

State championships — winners of the regional finals — take place Dec. 8-9 at three different venues: Pasadena College, El Camino College-Torrance and Saddleback College-Mission Viejo.

Defending North Section champions are Pleasant Valley (Division 2), Orland (D3), Colusa (D4), Fall River (D5) and Burney (8-man). 

Top seeds in the 2023 brackets are Chico (D2), University Prep (D3), Colusa (D4), Portola (D5) and Tulelake (8-man).
