Mater Dei routed Sierra Canyon 42-14 in the California Southern Section Division 1 football playoffs

The stage is set for the Mater Dei vs. St. John Bosco rematch.

Mater Dei (11-1), ranked No. 5 in the country in the SBLive/SI Power 25 national football rankings, beat Sierra Canyon (11-1) 42-14 in the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs on Friday night at the Santa Ana Bowl.

The Monarchs will face St. John Bosco for the CIF-SS Division 1 championship at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday, November 24.
