Look: Lincoln of San Diego edges Lanier in first-round matchup at Torrey Pines Holiday Classic

DJ Walker scores game-high 24 points in Hornets' 60-59 victory in the American Division

SAN DIEGO— DJ Walker scored 13 of his game-high 24 points in the final period to lift Lincoln of San Diego to a 60-59 victory over Lanier (Ga.) on Wednesday afternoon in a first-round matchup in the American Division for the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic presented by SBLive Sports.

Walker connected on five 3-pointers - including three in the fourth quarter. The game was played at Torrey Pines High School which is one of five sites for the four-day tournament.

Derrion Mason supplied 16 points for the Hornets while teammate Jamarion Sykes added 15. 

DeAndre Cowan led Lanier with 21 points and Amari Morgan finished with 17.

Lincoln outscored the Longhorns 22-16 in the final period.
