Temecula Valley defeats Northview for first ever CIF-SS boys basketball title

Jeremiah Profit led the way with 18 points in a convincing championship victory against Northview

ONTARIO, Calif. - For the first time ever, Temecula Valley is a CIF-Southern Section boys basketball champion.

The Golden Bears got going late in the first quarter and never let their foe get too close in the 4A championship, winning 53-40 against Northview on Saturday at Toyota Arena. 

Jeremiah Profit led both sides with 18 points and five assists, and added three steals for Temecula Valley. Liam Hodgkinson and Taj Jackson scored 10 points apiece.

Caleb McKendrick led Northview with nine points, and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go with four steals. Adrian Almaraz finished with eight points, four assists, and five steals for the Vikings.
