SACRAMENTO — Aliyahna Morris scored a game-high 20 points to lead No. 3 Etiwanda over No. 1 Archbishop Mitty 60-48 on Saturday night in the California (CIF) Open Division state girls basketball championship at the Golden 1 Center.

The Monarchs entered the game undefeated in 30 games this season and ranked No. 1 in the country in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 rankings.

It marked the second consecutive Open Division title for the Eagles (32-3).

Kennedy Smith added 15 points for the Eagles and Mykelle Richards finished with 11. Grace Know grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and had eight points.

McKenna Woliczko led Mitty with 14 points and Abigail James had 12.

Etiwanda built a 32-16 halftime advantage.
