Vote Now: Which big name high school football transfer will make the biggest impact in Florida for his new team?

Do you think the high school football was over in the Sunshine State? Think again.
Although the smacking of pads has ceased for the moment, the "off-season" in Florida has been jam packed with head coaches stepping down or being hired and plenty of player transfers throughout the state. And, we still have two months and some change until the start of spring football.
Many of the biggest transfers have occurred down in South Florida as names have moved around many of the state championship contending teams ahead of the spring football, which begins on May 1st officially. So many players have already switched schools and we put together a list below of some of the top transfers that have already occurred. Take a look at our list and let us know who you think will make the biggest impact at their new school come spring football or if there's a name we may have missed.
Also, stay tuned, as more transfers occur in the coming weeks and into the summer. If the list is significant, which we expect it will be, we will update and re-release this poll.
Armondo Blount (DL) transfers from Dillard to Miami Central: If any transfer sent some shockwaves through South Florida, it was this one. Blount racked up 16 sacks and 30 tackles for loss a year ago. He almost perfectly fills the void left by University of Miami (FL) signee Rueben Bain. By the time Blount is a senior, he could be one of the top prospects in the country bar none. He's already received offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State and Oregon just to name a few.
I’ll be lying if I said I regretted the decision I made 💯 @Valentiauntrell pic.twitter.com/yRfcS4kztN

Stacy Gage (RB) transfers from Wharton to St. Thomas Aquinas: Double trouble down in Fort Lauderdale. St. Thomas Aquinas' backfield got that much more dangerous when Stacy Gage made the move to Broward County and teams up with fellow Power 5 prospect Jordan Lyle. Gage rushed for over 700 yards and scored 14 touchdowns last season for Wharton. Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC are the teams Gage is looking at heavily.

Willis McGahee Jr. (DL) transfers from Miami Palmetto to Columbus: The Explorers were already pretty stacked before this transfer, but become that much more formidable up front on defense. The son of former NFL'er Willis McGahee, the defensive end compiled 80 tackles, 13 sacks and five forced fumbles last season at Miami Palmetto. McGahee Jr. certainly makes Columbus' chances to repeat as Class 4M chances that much better in 2023. Auburn, Miami (FL), Michigan and Nebraska in the hunt for McGahee Jr.'s services.

Columbus now has 6 D1 players in it’s defensive front, creating arguably the strongest group of pass rush talent in the country. The elite junior pass rusher had 80 TT, 13 sacks & 5 FF this season. pic.twitter.com/b1SWpdun6q
JC Evans (QB) transfers from Brandeis (TX) to Miami Central: You might not have heard much about Evans if you just follow Florida high school football. Plan on hearing about him this spring. He will take part in a quarterback competition to search for the Rockets' next star under center. Replacing Keyone Jenkins will be no easy task, but the 6-foot-5, 200-pound quarterback could be the real deal coming from the Lone Star State. Evans, who has offers from Appalachian State and University of Texas at San Antonio, threw for 1,199 yards and nine touchdowns last year, adding 450 on the ground.

Ryan Downes (QB) transfers from IMG Academy national to Venice: You might remember Downes when he had to go into the game after Jayden Bradford went down against Miami Central. That 20-14 loss to the Rockets is what some may think of when it comes to Downes, but he's so much more than that. An accurate pocket passer, at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, he already has the perfect size to play quarterback on the next level. Downes has an offer from Indiana, according to 247Sports.
James Randle (WR) transfers from Mainland to Homestead: It's a move that will take Randle from the beautiful beaches of Daytona Beach to the gates of the Keys down in Homestead. A track down I-95 south and Randle lands at Homestead, where he should make an immediate impact for the Broncos. In 2022, Randle hauled in 60 passes for 1,105 yards and 12 touchdowns. With Richard Dandridge graduating, Randle fills the void left in the receiving corps for the 2022 Class 3M runner-ups. Among the suitors, Randle has offers from Florida, Iowa State, Kentucky and Louisville.

Randle is one of the top 15 receivers in the country. He had over 1100 yards receiving & 12 touchdowns for 11-4 Mainland last season. Homestead is putting together an elite group on offense for 2023.https://t.co/U3daRmVQ2X pic.twitter.com/SdHEluhhHt
Jadyn Glasser (QB) transfers from South Plantation to Venice: Another signal caller headed to the 2022 Class 4S state runner-ups? Yes indeed and Glasser is coming off an impressive 2022 season at South Plantation. As a junior, Glasser threw for 2,624 yards and 25 touchdowns and rushed for 505. Over 3,000 yards of total offense coming to John Peacock's Indians. The quarterback battle between Downes and Glasser should be interesting.
I personalized these highlights for the 2022 season. Looking forward to the 7v7 season!🏈🎯@larryblustein @CoachErskin @Dwight_XOS @Therula99 @CoachBJHall5 @TheCribSouthFLA @in_huddle @PrepRedzoneFL @6starfootballFL @CSAPrepStar @EraPrephttps://t.co/ysLHzv1Z1C

Deandre Desnior (RB) transfers from North Broward Prep to Plantation American Heritage: One great running back leaves and another comes to Plantation American Heritage. Mark Fletcher will be donning a Miami Hurricanes uniform this fall and Desnior now has a chance to be the next great Patriots' running back. As just a sophomore, Desnior had himself a breakout campaign in 2022. Desnior rushed for 1,248 yards and scored 16 touchdowns and owns offers from Florida State, Louisville and Maryland.

Daniel Davis (OL) transfers from Dillard to Chaminade-Madonna: Davis is a big human being. Standing at 6-foot-4, 349 pounds, the rising junior heads to the defending Class 1M state champions ready to become another main cog on the offensive line for the Lions. Adding another protector for Cedrick Bailey at the line of scrimmage just makes it that much more difficult to track down the Chaminade-Madonna quarterback. Davis will be a IOL to watch down in South Florida.

Caleb Goodloe (WR) transfers from Clearwater Calvary Christian to Clearwater Central Catholic: We know many of the transfers have occurred throughout the South Florida region of the state, but an eye catcher came from the Tampa Bay region as well. Goodloe leaves Clearwater Calvary Christian and heads down US Highway 19 South to Clearwater Central Catholic to play for the Class 1M runner-ups. The junior had 50 catches for 617 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2022. He steps in as the Marauders graduate three of their top pass catchers from this past season. Goodloe has offers from Boston College, Iowa State and West Virginia.
Amazing Season. Most winningest team in school history (10-3). Could not have been more proud overall, with that being said here are my full season highlightshttps://t.co/GwbZGGwyCO
