Here are all the other coaches that were nominated for Jan. 23-Jan. 28:
Matt Zandecki, Brooksville Central: The Bears are on a roll as the regular season comes to a close. Zandecki has led the program on a 4-game winning streak, which includes wins over Crystal River, Gulf and Springstead last week.
Frank Baxley, Lake Worth: No doubt one of the big movers in our weekly Power 25 state poll has been Lake Worth and for many good reasons. The Trojans defeated Leonard and Wellington last week and have a big game versus undefeated Dwyer this week.
Scott Stewart, Naples First Baptist: What a week it was for the Lions when it’s come to the last few days. Stewart led the club to big time victories over Naples, Gateway Charter and Lely. The Lions will be the No. 1 seed in Class 3A, District 12 tournament.
Joe Giddens, Mainland: In his second stint as head coach for the Buccaneers, they have played consistently well under Giddens. This season has played out no different, with the Buccaneers playing well last week and winning games over Pine Ridge, Orange City University and Seabreeze.
